Trichostema lanceolatum

• 3.3′ tall
• Thrives in dry, nutrient-poor, sun-baked clay soil
• Oils have phytotoxic properties that kill or injure other plant species
• Smells of vinegar but can be confused with a similar plant of this same genus that is sweeter smelling (T. lanatum)
• Can be used as a cold and fever remedy, a pain reliever, and a flea repellent
