Native Plant Sale Elderberry Farms will have their organically grown local native plants. Cornflower Farms and Hedgerow Farms will offer a broad assortment of native plants for sale. We’ll also have BOOKS!* Alicia Funk will be signing her book “Living Wild” at the Book Table. “Ask a Designer” - Sign up with for a ½ hour consultation with a Landscape Designer for a nominal donation.
Wildflower Show and Plant Exhibit All day expert naturalists will provide friendly and knowledgeable interpretation at each exhibit. Hundreds of fresh-cut native wildflowers, shrubs, trees, and grasses illustrate each display. Rounding out each habitat area are inspiring photographs of the landscape. Plus Alicia Funk will provide a RECIPE for a plant in each Plant Community. Plant Community Chaparral Oak Woodlands Riparian Woodlands Vernal Pools & CA Prairies Other Exhibits Birds of a Feather! Discovery Zone: Naturalists and volunteers will be there to facilitate your experience! Focus on Flowers - several microscopes Art table - with flowers in vases posing for the artists! Scavenger Hunt table (then go outside to gather for the hunt) Plant Pressing & Identification – bring a pressed plant home!

Suggested donation: $5 but no-one will be turned away for lack of funds. Free Plant! Join CNPS or renew your CNPS membership and choose a plant from Elderberry Farms!
Friday is set-up – 9:00 – 2:00 or so. We’re moving tables & chairs, setting up tents & canopies, unloading plants. On Friday we'll also have peanut butter & jelly sandwiches and snacks for everyone!
Saturday is – 8:00 – 5:00 set-up, exhibitor aide (science background), plant sale muscle, plant sale Customer help (gardening knowledge important), Books, Plant Sale clean up, Exhibit clean up Shifts: All day, AM shift 8-1 or PM shift 12:30 – 5:00 ALL DAY Volunteers receive FREE ADMISSION + Lunch from Hot Dogger and snacks are provided for volunteers. AM or PM shift volunteers receive FREE ADMISSION + snacks.
The FALL Native Plant Sale will be on Sept 26 & 27 at McKinley's Shepard Garden & Arts Center.
